Seeds or Bubbles? Investing in the Future of Aotearoa New Zealand

Chaired by AUT Adjunct Professor Rod Oram, this is the second of a series of conversations about the future of Aotearoa New Zealand in a global economy. This conversation will interrogate the balance between “the seed economy” and “the bubble economy” in Aotearoa New Zealand. Do we want an economy that blows bubbles in traditional sectors like land and housing, or an economy that plants seeds for new frontiers of technology, business and the ecosystem. Are we too focused on short-term booms over long-term prosperity? And how would we change trajectory if we want to?
